Our Story

In 2013, our founders set out to eliminate a major bottleneck they experienced first-hand in the new product introduction process: sourcing custom mechanical parts.

Traditional supply chains for custom manufacturing are fragmented, slow, inflexible, non-scalable and fraught with quality issues and delays. Moreover, engineering and supply chain teams are often vastly under-resourced and lack the access and time to manage the complexities of a custom manufacturing supply chain — especially given the constantly changing landscape of supply chain disruptions and global trade. All of these problems introduce immense risk in the process of developing and launching new manufactured products.

To solve this problem, Fictiv has built a connected digital supply chain for custom manufacturing that networks highly-vetted manufacturing partners around the globe, managed by in-region experts at our four global Supply Chain Centers of Excellence. As a result of partnering with Fictiv, engineering and supply chain teams have streamlined access to a Fortune 500-class supply chain for custom mechanicals, complete with digital tools for online quoting, design for manufacturability feedback, and order management, helping them to accelerate time-to-market, de-risk their supply chains, and accomplish more with less.
